We took Ted to the vets this morning he is very lame on a front leg can't put any weight on it at all. It took us an hour to load him as he couldnt put his poorly foot on the ramp then on monday he will have his sinuses flushed. Its his 1st birthday tomorrow too.

Yes SL have been to see him & the abscess was deep in his foot so it has been dug out and poulticed & they can keep an eye on it during next week. I gave him a big cuddle tomight and will sing happy birthday to him tomorrow

Ted had his op yesterday & I watched I was warned it was a bit gruesome but I did stay The vet did more xrays to confirm it wasnt an infected tooth and then put him in the crate under sedation and local anesthetic he made a 4 inch incision in his head and then drilled a hole the size of a little finger then put the camera in and we could see the pus sitting in the sinus then he inserted the catheter and started the flush it with iodine...... at this point I did go a bit lightheaded but Teddy was being so brave, the catheter was then sewn into place and it is being flushed twice a day. Mum keeps carrots in here also the absess in his foot has been done too. I went over this morning to take him out for some grass and a groom but i'm not sure how long he is staying in for.

Well what a start to life in his first year, poor little man. It does'nt seem to be bothering him the catheter I mean. Lets hope he wont need a vet again except for his injections. Bless his poulticed foot.
