Wasn't too sure where to put this so please feel free to move it if need be... Just a couple of questions re. ISRT v's ISHT classes if anyone would be kind enough to answer them please: ISHT's seem to be getting finer - do the judges prefer the lighter types or the small hunter types? What width of bone would you say is the requirement for each of the classes? Thankyou

Well recently my ISHT has been getting better in the small hunter classes and being place lower in the SHT, the finer and more 'showy' neddies are getting placed higher. Judges used to love stella as a SH! Now they don't.

They definately do seem to be getting finer in the ISHTs, as in the SHP classes, however you will get a range of judges and some still favouring the more substantial types.
ISHTs should be small hunters, but can be slightly more ponyish and still do well.

I always thought small hunters should be mini's of middleweight hunters, is that right or have I just made that up ^^

No aimee that is spot on just i agree with Cubic the ISHT can be a little finer and more pony like if that makes sense. Not all ISHT that are doing well at a high level would fare so well in a small hunter class as quite rightly small hunters should be minature middleweights. I did watch the final ten of 2007 in the small hunters at HOYS-quite a mixed bunch-some were def minature MW's-some were finer! Depends on the judges preference i guess

yeah... what a complicated subject! It's not like there is a law in what show type your horse is. Some horses are bound to be chunkier than others! Like some people are chunkier than others. It doesn't restrict them from being tennis players or computer technicians etc
hang on what I have said is nothing like what we were discussing but i will leave it in because it is an amusing attempt at me trying to turn humans into show horses. what an idiot
