I thought of a tip! Instead of using a big bun ring that won't fit under my hat (grrr) you can use a scrunchie instead of a bun ring to make a bun with (if that makes sense )

Ringcraft - really get your horse going nicely before you get to the place where the judge is looking so you don't have to make noticable adjustments. Space yourself out and keep an eye for the horse behind as well. Don't stray too far to the sides of the ring, though remember to use corners. On the change the rein in canter when your all going round, begin your trot before you turn because it looks much neater. Try to extend the horse more through the middle to really attract the judges attention. Use space wisely! If you see a large space, grab it (not literally, still remain nice and neat!!) - and in doing so try to attract the judges attention - judges that recognise good ringcraft will think better of your combination (or so I'm told by a friend who stewards at PUK). When doing individual show really plan out when and where you are changing the rein and starting transitions - every ring is different so don't mistake your figure's of 8's for two small oblong shapes! It's not a good start lol.
Ummm and turn-out - if using sparkling spray/ coat gloss etc hold the reins OFF the head so they don't get covered and all slippery - it's such a nightmare when you can't hold your horse in a class!
Can't think of much else tbh

just thought of something els i always do when showing as my pony has black points on her legs i found some baby oil spray(actually its old avon baby oil stuff) its amazing if you have clean legs they give a nice shine thats not too glossy and makes the white bits look even whiter! also hides the scars that are on bonnies legs i also use it on finished plats that hides a bit of dust if you have any and also on a plated tail. -its just something that makes them look a bit special and its better than using normal show sheen on thos places
