Well I thought I was bring really clever today, having taken Cayberry's advice on the hanging cheek snaffle, so I bought one for Breeze. Of course when I tried it on all of Breeze's bridles are too long in the cheekpieces (cue lots of words which would be inappropriate here!). Bella's sabre fits but it'a a very fine show pony bridle and she looks a b****r in it and her jeffries are already small pony so I cant go any smaller there. Any ideas for finding shorter cheekpieces to match in with jeffries? I really don't want to buy her another bridle if I can avoid it?

jeffries do alsorts of seperate parts you can buy, or you could get a hole punch best look in rideaway catalouge at sizes and then measure up what you need, i wouldnt go to rideaway cos they never have what i need in stock, if possible, go to beavers in beckwithshaw theyre really good and have all the bits or go to foxes in whetherby who are also very good they might do making bits and peices if you want very small bits or like editing the one you have. xxxxx

Thanks for the ideas, I have asked jeffries directly as I dont think I can get smaller than her current bridle off the peg. The hole punch will only work if I put a knot in the top of the headpiece as well as it needs about two inches shortening on each side! Fox's is a good idea though so I will give them a call tomorrow.
