echo bev on the dvd if thats the route your interested in. My friend had a spotted pony, bred by a circus family which did loads of tricks-football, bowing, laying, sitting etc he was also taught to put his front feet on his door and from this he had learnt to clamber out of any stable/partion and he also used to sit down now and again when being ridden, so teach tricks wisely i say! good luck

I taught bonnie to apple bob thats quite easey just keep tempting them and us only small amount of water to start so it hits the bottom instead of scaring them,
also to teach them to bow you get a carrot or whatever and start the gently bowing their head and use a voice command at the same time, all you need to do it keep teasing them down further and further,
hope that helps xxx

humm parelli i thought he promoted non violent training
but yet he show you how to ""train"" your horse to back up by hitting him in the chin with a great big lead rope clip and to back up by hitting your horse with a big orange stick
if you would like to teach your horse trick why dont you have a look for a book called classical circul that helps your to teach your horses trick like rear on command bow spainish walk i use it alot in classical dressage and it show you how to teach your horse these by useing clicker training
