Hi PFT - I would be inclined to check the ingredients on the box first, if its bleach it could snap the tail hair off and leave you with a bog brush Don't Megatek make a tail whitener?

I was always told "Never use anything on your horse, that you wouldnt use on your own hair" Halsdon Arabians used to use Mayonaise in there rinsing water.

im guessing the tail is stained on a grey/coloured.
not on a bay or anything!

Traddy coloured people use talcum powder (after its had a good wash)
