We are going on Thursday and staying until Sunday, all being well. Which sounds easy doesn't it?
My tough little Breeze started with a weeping side ten days ago which when it was cleaned up was losing hair at an alarming rate (cue first vet call out for 5 years) and a diagnosis of "contact excema", unknown cause. After six days of antibiotic jabs (she is not too keen on me after that) it is healing well so I think "phew - rapidly balding show pony is recovering". Ha bl**dy ha.
I got there last night to get them ready for Ilkley to be confronted with Breeze colicing! Another vet call out and two more jabs later I have spent most of the night with her and she seems much better today. Needless to say Ilkely went by the by, but at least I still have a pony this morning.
I am just hoping she does not have a third idea in mind to avoid this trip, not that I am paranoid. Fingers crossed it is another five years before they are called again.
So, in a nutshell, if I make it down there with two ponies I reckon I will be easily identifiable by the tufts of white hair stood on end on my otherwise bald head...........

Get well wishes to SL Spider. Bev, I shall try and remember a hat but it is a bit difficult to put one on when wearing those jackets with the VERY long sleeves....... Thankfully the small orange pony seems none the worse for her scare. Unfortunately I had a call tonight to say my elderly father has been admitted to hospital and he is really quite poorly. I am just going to play it by ear for now but if we actually make it down there it will be an achievement all on its own.............
